I would like to learn to use my sewing machine. Can I take a private sewing class? And how much is it?
Yes, we are happy to sit with our customers one-on-one and go over a sewing or embroidery machine in detail. A private class usually lasts 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on the student's needs, and will cover all of the machine operations including threading, bobbin winding, stitch functions, as well as review of available stitches and their practical application. Private classes are $25.00 per hour.
Customers who purchase sewing, embroidery machines or sergers from Alamo Stitchin Post receive New Owner's classes that go over their newly purchased machine in great detail. If you would like to join one of these classes but have not purchased a machine here, the cost of a 3-hour class is $45 per class.
Can I put items on layaway?
We require 20% down of the total cost of the item to open a layaway account. Regular monthly payments must be made. If 2 monthly payments are missed, customer loose previously paid balance and the item. No refund on layaways. If you change your mind and would like to apply balance towards a different item, you may do so.
